TÜBİTAK Achievement from Our Faculty!

The results of the 2024/1 term of the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program, administered by TÜBİTAK’s Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB), have been announced. Three research projects prepared by students from the Department of Journalism at our Faculty of Communication have been selected for support.

A total of 12 students will take part in the projects, which will be supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haldun Narmanlıoğlu. The supported projects address contemporary journalism practices and key societal issues in the media industry.

The supported projects and their teams are as follows:

Journalism in the Diaspora: Challenges Faced by Migrant Journalists Living in Turkey

Developing a Dynamic Educational Model for Data Journalism
Project Team: Dilan Sude Altun, Mert Can Ekinci, Buse Nur Hatipoğlu, Hilal Adak

Is There a Glass Ceiling in the Media?: Challenges Faced by Female Gatekeeper Journalists
Project Team: Berre Aşık, Damla Türkmenoğlu, Damla Çelik, Azize Naz Kuğu
